Konstantinos Koutsoliotas is a London based director and freelance artist specializing in visuals for film, music video and TV.
As a director he recently completed the music video "Skiahtro" for the cult hip-hop group "Active Member" in Athens. Previously
he directed videos for the "A Train" and "The Alps" amongst others.
In VFX, he has just finished work on Rob Marshall's film "Nine" for the Bluff Hampton company. Also worked on Mat Whitecross's latest film “Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll” for Lipsync Productions. Earlier in the same year he completed contracts for the Mill in the latest Ford Kinetic commercial and for the Bank in their Grolsch beer campaign.
His latest collaboration with directors Karni + Saul produced “Float” for Flogging Molly and won the prestigious Annecy 2009 for best music video. The same team earlier produced the visuals for Turin Brakes video “Something in my eye”.
Client list includes The Mill London, The Bank, The Bluff Hampton company, Lipsync Productions, Zoo vfx, BBC, ITV, Weilands, Duke TV, Steam UK, Leit-work, Ozumi films, Pixelmolkerei in Switzerland, the Wrong Alfredo films in Italy, a couple of years tour of duty at Liquid TV creating visuals for many award winning broadcast and documentary titles (including the National Lottery campaign and the BAFTA awarded BBC “Restoration”), a collaboration with the WETA Workshop (NZ) and Archangel Studios (LA) in the concept design for the Eisner awarded “Red Star”, “Shadowplay” design, in collaboration with Elizabeth Schuch, for the Melies d'Argent nominated “Gamerz”, product visualization for Suzuki USA / EON Reality and the X prize participants ARCA space technologies, extended visualization for the Digital Design Studio of the Glasgow School of Art, the Glasgow university, the Royal College of Surgeons and others.
With a background in fine art and architectural history, Konstantinos graduated from the Glasgow School of Art with an Mphil in 3d animation. His final thesis short film “Celephais” was nominated by the GSA for a Scottish BAFTA award.
He enjoys all things Byron, E.A. Poe and H.P. Lovecraft.
